Tennis is the sport of kings which provides exercise in a fun and social setting. It is a sport which can be enjoyed all year round but particularly during the warm summer months.
Each year Wimbledon ignites England’s passion for tennis and we are always keen to maximise the opportunity this brings as it enables children (and adults) who might not have previously thought about playing to give the game a try.
So, this year why not do more than sample some strawberries and cream and get involved in tennis? We offer a range of sessions for both adults and children. The children’s sessions are designed for the relevant age groups.
For those up to 11 years of age we teach ‘Mini Tennis’ which is the LTA approved game for children of this age. It is an ideal introduction to the sport and is played using specialised equipment. This specialised equipment and learning programme enables children to develop skills in the game of tennis and to keep fit whilst having fun. The ideal combination to ensuring that children enjoy sport and also lead a healthy lifestyle.
For beginners of 11 years and upwards the sessions are slightly adapted to allow for their size, skills and age.
We also offer a number of after-school clubs which can allow children to progress in both sports.
We also offer a range of adult coaching. Just because you have reached adulthood and never picked up a tennis or squash racket before it doesn't mean that you can't still enjoy the sport and become a competent player. Tennis and squash can provide even us adults with exercise in a sociable and engaging environment.
If you have have already experienced the game but would like to improve your shots or perhaps are interested in joining a club so that you can play more regularly then Advantageover can help you too.
